(Firenze, 1854 - 1925)

work of the Tuscan artist who studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence under G. Ciaranfi and G. Fattori whose basic philosophy he assimilates with attention to themes concerning the landscape and peasant figures. Since the early years of the twentieth century it affirms itself with rural and popular subjects with an increasingly liquid brushstroke, full of shades and tonal variations.
