Carlo Domenici

(Livorno, 1898 - Valdana di Portoferraio, 1981)

oil painting on masonite by the Livorno artist who was influenced by the post - Macchiaiolo Puccini and fleetingly interested in late - Divisionism. He painted aspects of the landscape and customs of Livorno, Maremma and the island of Elba. Together with Filippelli, Michelozzi, Natali and Romiti he founded the Labronico Group of which he became president after Natali's death. Frame in gilded wood and passepartout. Measure cm. 35 x 56.
